Your Child Can Eat Breakfast and Lunch for FREE at school!

As part of the 2010 Healthy and Hunger-Free Kids Act, Worcester, along with other districts, will begin offering free meals to all students this school year.  For parents, that means no more forms to fill out, no online meal account to remember, no last minute scramble for change before the bus, and no more lunchboxes to pack.  All students can eat for free!

As we prepare for the 2015 -2016 school year, we are pleased to inform you that the regular school bus routes for those students who qualify for transportation have been posted.

If you should have any question, please call your child’s school.

WEMS Teachers Featured on New England Cable News

Worcester East Middle School teachers Stacy Lord (Art) and Howard Fain (Science) will be featured on New England Cable News at 9pm on August 18th. Lord and Fain are the first two teachers from Massachusetts selected to participate in NASA’s SOFIA program.

STUDENTS REPORT FOR SCHOOL

PRE-SCHOOL STUDENTS will report on August 31st, 2015 as stated in the individual notification letter sent to parents.

HEADSTART STUDENTS will report as stated in the individual notification letter sent to parents.

KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS will begin school on August 31st, 2015 .   The Worcester Public Schools will be screening Kindergarten children by appointment on August 26th , August 27th and August 28th .  If your child does not have an appointment for screening, contact the school your child is registered at after August 17th .

ALL STUDENTS – GRADES 1 - 12

1st Annual South High School Alumni Golf Tournament

The Florida style tournament will benefit the South High School boys’ baseball and basketball teams and will be held at Heritage Country Club in Charlton, Ma.

Free Summer Meals for Kids 2015

The Worcester Pubic Schools is participating in the Summer Food Program.  Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of meal service.

Meals will be provided at 17 sites, days, and times as follows:
